Repcon, Inc. has a vital interest in the on-going
development of its full and part-time employees. Repcon
has selected a Steering Committee to conduct an in-house
training and professional development needs assessment
which includes:
Position roles and responsibilities, how to monitor and
enhance employee performance through training and
evaluation programs, and the means of validating these
qualifications through certification and re-certification.
The intention of the “Repcon Employee Development
Program,” is to ensure Repcon and its employees have the
best training available to successfully execute their
job assignments. The objectives of the ‘Repcon Employee
Development Program” is:
improve safety performance, higher level of employee
competence and self-direction, job enrichment, improve
efficiency, improve quality, increase employee wages,
and increase profitability. Repcon has developed its
training plan for management, supervision, technical and
support groups, administrative personnel, and craftsmen.
Our employees are provided with knowledge and skills to
be safe, productive and to make sound decisions. Working
closely with the
Contractor Safety
Councils, the Craft
Training Center, the
Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), the
Business Roundtables, the
National Center
for Construction Education and Research (NCCER)
and other professional training and educational
organizations we offer our employees the very best
training available.
Repcon offers paid tuition and books to all their
employees that wish to attend an approved NCCER craft
training program. These programs are offered at the
Craft Training Center, the NCCER, the Associated
Builders and Contractors and approved NCCER training
centers. There are currently over 200 employees
attending these classes in the Corpus Christi area
alone.
Repcon’s Steering Committee will monitor
the training programs effectiveness and compose
recommendations as needed for the successful completion
of the Repcon Employee Development Program. Repcon is in
year three of their five-year strategic development
plan. This plan includes tripling the size of the
company by the year 2007. |
